In orchards of the village Hrhov was this year first time heard the Scops owl (Otus scops) and in a special rocky karst habitat
in the steep southern slope over the village of Hrhov I did some bird counts this year. All 6 Slovakian species of titmice
were found here as breeding species: the Great tit (Parus major), Blue tit (Parus caeruleus), Coal tit (Parus ater), Marsh
tit (Parus palustris), Willow tit (Parus montanus), Crested tit (Parus cristatus), [in the same, rocky habitat with few trees
and some bushes] and the Rock bunting (Emberiza cia) was found after the Blackbird (Turdus merula) and Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla)
the third most abundant bird.
