The Danube Biosphere Reserve Needs Your Solidarity Again!!!
Dear friends!
The Ukrainian
Ministry of Transport still cannot keep their hands off the Danube Biosphere reserve and is insisting on the construction
of a deep-water canal through the reserve area. It is now claimed that some of the documents establishing the reserve were
falsified and the estuaries were therefore wrongly included in the reserve. This is ridiculous and a blatant falsehood! Nevertheless
this issue is to be brought up on 10th April at the Ukrainian Parliament's National Safety Committee meeting.
So once again
your support is requested to lobby for the sake of the Danube Delta's wildlife.

The Danube biosphere reserve
is a transnational (Romanian-Ukrainian) UNESCO and Ramsar site. We must convince those responsible in the Ukraine to stop
these plans and help to try and prevent the ruin or, at best, degradation of an important European wetland.
