The CYPRUS MAIL and CYPRUS WEEKLY are the main English-language newspapers, and letters will have a good chance of publication.

Our real media target on Cyprus must be the Greek-language news media. Together with the Cyprus Conservation (CCF) Proact will attempt to place similar letters in Greek in due course.

Dear Sir,

The killing of millions of birds, Europe's common and shrinking natural heritage must stop.

Trapping of songbirds for consumption is an outdated and barbaric custom. It is also illegal.

If this from of activity is tolerated tourists will be discouraged. The growing eco-tourist market will seek other destinations.

Let the majority stand up and be counted. Use the ballot box if your politicians don't listen.
