The aim of the Proact campaign for Cyprus is to stop the illegal trapping and shooting of some 20,000,000 birds annually. For detailed background information go to:

Proact Cyprus has 4 main targets:

1) The Cyprus Government at home and abroad

2) The responsible British authorities in Britain and in the Sovereign Base Areas (SBAs) on Cyprus

3) The news media in Cyprus and in UK

and

4) the European Union, through Members of the European Parliament (MEPs)

For the campaign to be effective it is important that ALL of the above are targeted by the Proact Team and our ever-willing supporters.

If tackling all at once is too daunting a task, schedule a small programme for yourselves between now and the end of February 2002. The migration season - AND THE SLAUGHTER - starts again then.
